Sciacca’s anchovies marinated with citrus fruits, Agrigento goat cheese mousse, lemon air, red onion and ‘sea water.’

One of the most memorable dishes of the trip found during an impromptu lunch in Sciacca, home to one of the largest fishing fleets in the Mediterranean.

Highly recommended this beautiful restaurant overlooking the sea and weathered fishing boats, thought of it as the @localoceanseafoods of Sicily. @lalampara.sciacca 🐟

The Catania Fish Market, definitely the most hardcore food market I’ve ever seen. In addition to fish like spatola, tonno, pesce spada, there’s theater-rich street food like these artichokes that are stuffed with chopped garlic and parsley and drizzled with water, salt and olive oil.
